Using your image:

In order for Footlights to comply with the general data protection regulations we must obtain your consent to use your image and or words for the purpose of promoting our classes. You should only consent for us to use your image and or words if you are happy to do so.

We may use your child's photograph, film and words for the purposes of promotion of our events and classes in newspapers, magazines and any other media such as websites, Footlights Social Media, information leaflets, and presentations. Once an image is published we cannot stop others from copying it and using it. You may ask Footlights to not use your image or words for any new purposes. We will comply with this request but we will be unable to remove images that have already been used in publications or publicity materials. We will retain your images for three years unless you withdraw your consent. After this time the images we store will be reviewed and will only be kept if they are considered to be important or useful to Footlights Performance Academy.

Due to the nature of Footlights Performances and events if you do not consent for your child's image to be used by Footlights there may be some events which they will not be able to take part in as we will not be able to guarantee their image will not be taken.

Payments:

All payments are to be made in advance of the start of term via the 'Class for Kids' service. Please discuss with us if you require any alternative payment schedules or options.

The 'Class for Kids' service allows us to amend your invoice to include any additional charges you may incur eg. signing up to an additional footlights event or purchasing a costume for a solo dance. These updates will be communicated with you via email.

Footlights reserve the right to refuse class entry and terminate membership if payments are overdue. We ask that payment are made 2 weeks before the first class of term, after this entry cannot be guaranteed. Any payments made after the term has started may be liable to an additional late payment fee.

Refunds are not available once the term has been paid for unless in exceptional circumstances. If your child does not wish to continue a class at Footlights we require a terms notice, otherwise you will remain liable for the full price of the upcoming term.

Behaviour

At Footlights we are committed to creating a positive, inclusive, and safe environment where all students can thrive. To ensure a productive and enjoyable experience for everyone, we have established the following behaviour expectations:

Respect for Others:

  • Treat all fellow students, teachers, and staff with kindness, respect, and consideration.
  • Listen attentively during classes and follow instructions from teachers and staff.

Positive Participation:

  • Engage actively in all activities, giving your best effort and showing enthusiasm.
  • Support and encourage your peers, fostering a sense of teamwork and community.

Safety and Responsibility:

  • Follow all safety guidelines and use equipment and facilities appropriately.
  • Report any injuries, accidents, or unsafe conditions to a teacher or staff member immediately.

Attitude and Effort:

  • Maintain a positive attitude, even when faced with challenges or new experiences.
  • Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to participate in all scheduled activities.

Property and Environment:

  • Respect the school’s property and keep the environment clean and tidy.
  • Handle all costumes, props, and equipment with care.

Zero Tolerance for Bullying:

  • Bullying, harassment, or any form of intimidation will not be tolerated. Any such behaviour should be reported and will be addressed promptly.

Consequences for Misconduct:

Failure to adhere to these behaviour expectations may result in temporary or permanent removal from footlights classes and activities.

By joining Footlights students and parents agree to uphold these behaviour expectations, ensuring a positive and supportive environment for everyone.

Uniform

The footlights uniform policy (available on our website) must be adhered to for all classes.

Privacy and Child Protection Policies

Child safety and security is at the heart of everything we do at footlights. Please familiarise yourself with our Child protection and Privacy Policy on our website.

Complaints and Concerns

If you need to raise a concern or grievance about any aspect of Footlights Performance Academy Ltd then please email footlights@footlightsperformance.com. We aim to respond to any complaints within 5 working days unless there is an emergency which should be acted on immediately. In the event of an emergency please contact Tina on 07818065015.
